Akron and Barberton furnaces and boilers, and higher-efficiency systems in Hudson and Stow, are both in the service area. We repair the equipment that is installed.
Summit County is the Akron side of the Temp Tech service area. We cover Akron and the suburbs around it, including Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Hudson, Macedonia, Twinsburg, Barberton, and Fairlawn.
Akron winters are cold without the same lake-effect pattern as Lorain and western Cuyahoga County. Older city houses still have to heat through that cold with boilers or furnaces that may be older than the last remodel. We service both, and we will tell you when a repair is only postponing a replacement.
The northern suburbs are a different housing stock. Hudson, Stow, Twinsburg, Macedonia, and Fairlawn have many homes with central air and higher-efficiency furnaces. Maintenance, honest diagnostics, and a clear replacement quote matter more than a hard sell. Preferred new equipment is American Standard and Heil, and we service all makes.

These neighborhoods include houses that were built with boilers, and houses whose ductwork has been altered every time a room was finished. Comfort complaints here are often about the distribution of air, a failing boiler section, or a furnace that has been asked to heat more square footage than it was sized for. We repair the system and install ductless mini-splits where new ducts are a poor fit.
Central air and gas furnaces are the usual equipment. Many of these systems are original to homes built in the 1990s and 2000s and are now due for capacitors, blower motors, or a full changeout. We repair what still has useful life and quote a replacement when it does not.
Homes in Bath, Richfield, and along the Cuyahoga Valley sit farther apart and are often older or added onto. Norton, Tallmadge, and Green add another mix of ranches and newer construction on the south and east sides of the county. Drafty rooms and additions that stop where the old exterior wall was are a frequent reason to add a mini-split instead of rebuilding the trunk line.

Drafty older Akron houses and tight newer suburban homes have different air-quality problems. Humidifiers and whole-home purifiers are available either way.
